A Message from Carla Bregani, Children's Minister
This week I’ve asked Carla Bregani, our Children’s Minister to give us an update and a word of encouragement concerning our CIBC children’s ministry. Carla has a heart for our kids and a passion to see each of them come to faith in Christ and grow in their Christian life. She thoughtful, a true team player, hard worker and it is a great joy to serve King Jesus alongside her in ministry.
From Carla Bregani, Children's Minister at Cayman Islands Baptist Church:
What a joy it has been to welcome our children back to CIBC -- first of all following lockdown and then again this past Sunday, when we gathered together to thank God for His provision and protection after Saturday's storm. The Year 1-6 children are diving into the theme of "GRATITUDE" this month, and we truly have much to be thankful for!

We are so pleased to welcome children to Nursery, Preschool Zone, and Kids' Worship each Sunday at 9am and 11am; moving to two services has allowed us to ensure that we have sufficient space for even more precious children to attend CIBC and hear the Good News, and also allows our leaders and assistants to "serve one/sit one" as part of their Sunday morning worship routine.
It is important that our team members are spiritually nourished (by "sitting one" in the worship service each week) and their weekly presence in the lives of our children (by "serving one") helps ensure that our kids have healthy, nurturing, and consistent relationships with caring adults and teens.
The move to two services has been a wonderful way to let our community know that we are always ready for even MORE children to join us, and to let our volunteers know that we value their spiritual development and the time that they invest in the lives of our kids!

Our regular Friday Night programs (Kids' Night Out for Years 1-6 and Gopher Buddies for ages 4-5) went on hiatus this fall, but we hope that they will be back (by VERY popular demand!) in January. These ministries are highly anticipated and enjoyed by children from the community who may not have another church home; if you have a heart to reach every child with the Good News of Jesus, and if you like fun, games, Bible stories, music, and enthusiasm, Friday night kids' programs are for you!
If you are interested to join our Friday night program teams, please contact me in the next couple of weeks; volunteer numbers will determine whether we can start these energetic outreach programs that reach so many children in our community!

I am more convinced than ever that the best thing that we can do for each of our children is to lead them into a growing, authentic relationship with the Lord, equipping them with everything they need to be able to discover, understand, apply, and share the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ.
This call to leading (which is different than "pointing;" we must actively SHOW them what vibrant Christ-following community and pursuit of Jesus looks like) is not an easy mandate for parents or for our wider church family, but the effort will be worth it -- in this life and the life to come.
Thank you for caring for our children, families, and our servant-hearted Children's Ministry team.
Have a great week!
