Pastoral Council Member: Tony Williams
Our Pastoral Council consists of three pastoral staff and four lay-leaders from our church congregation. The council is responsible for the spiritual oversight and direction of CI Baptist Church. Together the council members serve the church family through prayer, administering baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and vision-casting. They also serve in various other ministries in church life.
We want to highlight these servant-hearted leaders so you can get to know them better. This week, let’s meet Pastoral Council member Tony Williams:

Do you have a skill or talent that most people don’t know you have? I was a race car driver.
How did you come to faith in Christ? At the age of 13.I realized my need to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Being raised in a Christian home I had felt I was secure in my Christian faith. One Sunday night at a Gospel meeting I was convicted of my need to make a personal confession and truly become a follower of Christ.

How long have you been at CIBC? Since inception . I was privileged to be one of the brothers who felt led to start our church.
What’s the most enjoyable part of being on PC? The fellowship with my brothers and the Pastors. Being able to serve in whatever capacity I am called is a joy.
What’s the most challenging part of being on PC? Making sure the decisions we make are based on our love for the Lord and our church family.
Why do you love CIBC? It is truly a church that lives up to the core values of loving God and serving our brothers and sisters .
What’s your favorite book of the Bible? I have two favorites (hope that is allowed) , Psalms and Proverbs.
